Technique: Watercolor on paper Saunders Waterford HP 300gsm
Size: 31 x 47 cm
Availability: In own collection
Remarks: Portrait of Marilyn Monroe made on the basis of a photograph by Milton Greene, who portrayed the most famous movie stars of the late 50’s and 60’s.
The original photo is colorful.
However, in order to paint my version of this portrait I used my own technique with the use of watercolor graphite. Such a contrasting combination of beauty and raw texture of liquid graphite in a monochromatic approach.
